Features:
A fine and true Daisho Sukashi tsuba by Akasaka Tadatoki. It is signed: Tadatoki Saku, and this would be the 6th generation Tadatoki from the mainline Akasaka masters. It was made in the mid-Edo period, ca. 1700’s, and displays a design of Ume cherry blossoms in the wind.
The plate shows a beautiful, fine, and precise workmanship within an iron mix that retains it's original urushi lacquer. The exterior patina has been created over few century's with a rich lustrous moist deep dark chocolate brown color. Both Tsuba are in a beautiful and excellent condition with no damage of any kind.
